With just one month to go until the first A-Level Accounting exam, it's time for all Year 13 students to reflect on how well revision is going.
If you think that you're on track, that's great, well done! Keep up the good work by using the 'Study the easy way' resources. We're adding revision resources every week, so keep checking back to see what's new.
For those of you who feel that you're behind with where you should be, please DON'T PANIC. There's still time to do lots of good quality revision...
FIRST: Make a list of all the A-Level Accounting topics (our 'About' page can help you with this)
SECOND: Rate each topic with a score reflecting how you feel about that topic: '3' means confident; '2' means feeling ok; '1' means more work needs to be done; '0' means that you are really unsure of the topic
THIRD: Start working your way steadily through your list, starting with the topics on the '0' list, then moving on to the '1' list, and so on. Make sure you're tackling the topics in a sensible way - for example, there's no point trying to study the double entry for depreciation if you're not yet confident on the basic rules of double entry. Try a variety of different activities: watch the videos, work through examples shown on the video alongside the narration, do the practise worksheets, try a multiple choice quiz, and dip into the revision resources*
Above all, try to stay calm. You probably know more than you think you do, and, with consistent work for the next few weeks, you'll be able to tackle the exams with confidence.
